Košarka

Košarka, or basketball, is a team sport in which two teams, typically consisting of five players each, compete to score points by shooting a ball through the opponent’s hoop. The game is played on a rectangular court, with a hoop at each end elevated 10 feet above the ground. Points are scored by making field goals, which can be worth two or three points depending on the shooting distance, or by free throws worth one point. Basketball emphasizes skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive strategies, and it is governed by rules established by organizations like FIBA and the NBA. The sport is played globally, with professional leagues, college competitions, and recreational play widely available.
