Iftar

Iftar is the meal that Muslims consume to break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan. It occurs at sunset, following the call to the Maghrib prayer. Traditionally, the fast is broken with dates and water, followed by a larger meal that varies by culture and region. Iftar is not only a time for nourishment but also a communal event, often shared with family and friends or extended to the less fortunate. The practice embodies a spirit of generosity, reflection, and gratitude, marking the end of a day of fasting from dawn until sunset.
