SHISHAMO

SHISHAMO is a Japanese pop rock band formed in 2010. The group’s name is derived from “Shishamo,” a type of fish found in northern Japan, which is known for its unique flavor. The band consists of four members: vocalist and guitarist Aya Sato, guitarist and backing vocalist Masaki Yoshida, bassist and backing vocalist Aki Aizawa, and drummer Etsuko Nishikawa. SHISHAMO’s music often features catchy melodies, relatable lyrics, and a blend of pop and rock elements, appealing to a young audience. They gained popularity in the Japanese music scene with their energetic performances and have released several albums and singles, contributing to their status as a prominent act in the J-Pop genre.
